Teaser #1 (Judulnya Belum Ada, Belum Kepikiran)

I never thought that I would meet him again at the time like this.

Oh, wait. It doesn’t mean that I don’t want to meet him again, but, I just feel that this time is not right.

He is waiting for the light to turn into green along the street with a dozen of people around him. He is carrying a black wool bag, the same one I saw back in the time. He doesn’t see me. Oh, yes, he never would because I’m sitting in a bus that stuck with the red light. Just a matter of time, the bus will be leaving. 34 seconds. Cool. I still have less than one minute to look at him. Wandering his every move. Wondering where would he go. Wondering whom would he meet. And before I could think of another I-wonder stuffs, the bus driver starts the engine.

13 seconds. Oh, great.

The light turns into yellow. And in a second, it turns into green. The bus goes. I go. I look outside the window and turn my head again back at him. I probably could never see him again. Who knows this is my last time. He is still there on the line. Waiting for the light to turn into green so he can go. And now I really wish I was the girl who leaped through time just like the character in an anime we used to watch together with the tears bursting the dark night.

Darn. I am late. I don’t even have time to feed Ken, my dog, my one and only friend in the middle of the lonely night. Well, sort of, maybe.

“I’m sorry, buddy, I will just ask Mrs. Brown to look after you, okay?” he barks, expressing a disagreement, probably. But I really have no choice. I even don’t get enough time to get a shower. I put deodorant and perfume on more than I usually put. “Hey, remind me to go to the drugstore to buy a new deodorant once I get home, okay?” he barks again, with his tongue off his mouth as if he's ready to lick and eat everything.

I slam the door. Luckily, I meet Mrs. Brown downstairs. She is watering her lily flowers.

“Morning, Mrs. Brown,” and before she replies to my greeting, I go on. “Look, I’m sorry. I am bloody late and I have a very big presentation this morning and if I don’t get through, I’m afraid you won’t see me giving you any money for the rent for the next 3 months,” she looks at me with her eyebrows high. “But don’t worry I know I will make it, and, oh! please look after Ken. If you don’t want your lily flowers become his breakfast, please feed him because I haven’t. Thank you, I shall have my way. See you this evening!” then I go. Only 3 steps ahead, I turn back again at her. "Oh, right, I don't lock the door. But make sure you will when you're done. We don't want Ken to ruin your small garden again, do we?" I blink an aye. "Alright. I'm going. I'm bloody late." I run. Leaving Mrs. Brown ready to feed my very best friend in the world.

And here I am on the road. Waiting for the light to turn into green so I can rush to the nearest train station. It will take 45 minutes until I get to the office. But no. Even though the light turns green, I could never be able to run because I’m surrounded with a lot of people waiting for the green light, too. I have no space. I have no choice but waiting and walk as fast as possible. These people won’t give a damn if I don’t make it through my presentation this morning. Liberalism. Right.

A bus stops right in front of me. Should I take the bus instead of the train? It wouldn’t make any differences anyway, it also takes 45 minutes to go there, but…

And before I could even decide what vehicle I’d choose, the other light turns green, and the bus goes. And I have to wait 45 seconds more until my light turns green.

Yes, I’m late. I forgot to set the alarm on my phone. I only slept for 3 hours last night. Wait, probably 2 because I had to make sure everything’s alright and I didn’t miss a thing this morning. But not really, the stuffs were all ready. My laptop was fully charged, the flashdrive was extremely save in my pocket. That flashdrive contains my life. Even my son’s life, if one day I would be having any. I didn’t forget my papers, they are all on my bag, perfectly save. I just forgot to set the alarm on my phone. That’s it. I might get fired after this. Or not. My boss would probably just set off my position into the lower one. The cleaner, or worst, his wife’s bag-carrier.
